I’m really worried about my Erin. I noticed tonight she hasn’t been out of her bed much… she came out earlier for dinner and now I’ve gotten her out she’s not eating her favourite hay or treats 😔 she’s snuggling on my lap which never happens and she keeps trying to lay on her side.
I have some loxicom here I might give her and see how she is in the morning.
Should I also syringe feed before I go to bed? She looks so sad ;(

Hi

Please switch to weighing daily first thing in the morning for best day to day comparison. I wouldn't recommend to medicate on spec but can offer her some mushed up pellets in a bowl first to see whether she is interested in food or not at all.

See how she is tomorrow morning and contact a vet if she hasn't picked up again.

Thanks you I will do. She did lose a good 200g over the space of maybe a year, but then stabilised for ages (6 months) always seemed fine in herself so this is out of the ordinary, how she’s acting tonight.
How much cc should I give her? She’s done a few poops and they look pretty normal.

Not interested in critical care. Just weighed her though slightly heavier than a few days ago x

Hi

In this case I would not worry too much about her not eating much overnight but you can try and get a little into her tonight and then see how she is in the morning. See or speak to an out-of-hours vet in the case things deteriorate drastically during the night but make sure that you get some sleep yourself.
