On Wednesday Rosie went into the vets to have some stones flushed from her urethra. She came home Wednesday and apart from being a bit groggy and sore she's absolutely fine. Eating well, pooping and peeing.

But she's not really moving around much. In fact I came home today to fine her absolutely soaked in pee. The strange thing is her bedding isn't wet?

Anyway, I bathed her and now she's sat happily eating some lettuce.

But I'm really struggling to keep her dry as she's refusing to move out of her pee. She is moving for food and stuff just not when she pees. She's on aubiose bedding and that's never soaked (I clean it everyday).

I'm going to be ordering some fleece so I can put them on that but I can't order that until Sunday (when I get payed). Does anybody have any ideas / suggestions?

Hi! Please have your girl seen by a vet first and foremost as soon as you can! She may have a urine infection (UTI), which needs an antibiotic to get on top of.

Aubiose is very absorbent, so if you clean daily, it has no chance at getting very wet.

She's on antibiotics just to help prevent infection from them flushing the stones. She's not in pain when she's weeing or pooing and there's no blood. I've switched to layering towels in the hides in hopes this helps to wick away the pee as I don't tend to use a very thick layer of aubiose (a few cm thick to cover the base of the cage).
