Guinea pig smeg...

Hi all,

Apologies for the topic! However one of my boys, Muffin, was out last night and I found white almost glue type substance in his anal orifice. I’ve read a few threads and believe it’s smeg however just want to find out the best way to clean it? As I worry a cotton bud would push it back up!

Hi!

What you are describing sounds like 'boar glue' or dried semen fluid and not smegma, which is generally pasty or crumbly in texture.
Unfortunately if you cannot cut it off when it is stuck to hairs, you have to wait until it is falling off on its own. If you try to peel it off, skin may come off with it.
