guinea pig spur question

i noticed on my guinea pigs foot this hard black thing, i googled it and all that was coming up was spur but this looks bigger than the other pics i have come across and getting really worried now, i am trying to add a pic but not sure how to, if anyone can tell me how to do this then i can put a pic on, sorry if i am sounding thick i am new on here and just want to see if it is anything to be really concerned about, thanks in advance x

it looks stuck under her skin as i thought i was food or poo or something at first but it deffo doesnt come off x

Looks like a spur to me, from what I can see. Esme has them and they are a similar size.
You can trim them with nail scissors if it is in her way, but you have to be very careful to not cut the live skin.
 
awww thank you for that i have been panicking about it because of the size, it doesnt seem to bother her, when i was touching it she wasnt bothered by it... thank you again at least i can relax at bit now x

I trim them with nail clippers too. Some piggies seem particularly prone to them once they are no longer very young.
 
I trim them weekly with scissors after easing them gently away from the skin. I also clean their feet weekly with a baby wipe.
