Hi all! I posted last week that my 10 month old Cinnamon (in pic with that crazy hair!) had a URI, she has been on Baytril now for about 4 days; she is behaving normally, eating etc but still has that "crackly" noise from her nose (doesn't appear to be from lungs) when she breathes; does anyone have any home remedy advice for nasal congestion? Is it ok to run a humidifier for her? Thanks!!

It is OK to run a humidifier or place a bowl with steaming water and a couple of drops of olbas oil next her cage. If the crackling persists, I would ask your vet for bisolvon powder to help get rid of the mucus. Please also see your vet if symptoms are still persisting at the end of your course of baytril.

thank you! I will see the vet for sure if she doesn't improve, unfortunately he's not an exotic specialist and i don't have any in my area; also when I first brought her home we had pine beddding, i changed to paper bedding which she seemed to do better with but now i'm wondering since she has these recurrent URIs if I should do something different? do you think the bedding could have an effect on her congestion?

Pine bedding is not recommended, so I would either consider paper, fleece or hemp (fitch).
