Guinea Pig YouTubers

What Guinea Pig YouTubers do you reccomend? I'm thinking Little Adventures, Saskia from LA Resuce, Scottys Animals... do you find all those reliable? How about any reliable GP websites outside of this forum and YouTube? Thanks yall!
 
Have a look at the members websites section. People usually post links there. I don’t watch anything piggy related on YouTube so can’t say to be honest. As for other websites, maybe those of recommended rescues. Otherwise I don’t know that there are many reliable sources. Best if you check and decide for yourself.
 
I love little adventures they're piggies have such a good life and their videos are fun and interesting. I've not seen anything worrying on their channel at all.

Saskia and Scottys animals both promote home remedies which are not scientifically tested and therefore could be dangerous especially if unexperienced people are using these remedies instead of seeking vet care when needed. The care requirements they promote are a bit off too. The cage size they recommend is too small and they encourage people to give their piggies continuous access to pellets rather than 1tbsp per pig per day which is recommended. They also use snack shack logs which are generally considered unhealthy and possibly dangerous. I am subscribed to these channels because I love to watch the rescues they do and saskia is very knowledgeable and experienced and does great work but I take my care advice from the forum not these channels.

Most youtubers I've seen are great for entertainment but I always take care and health advice with a pinch of salt.

We often watch squeak dreams who is British youtuber and always seems to promote excellent care 😊

Agreed! Little Adventures is AMAZING. I take everything online with a pinch of salt, even things on the most reliable sources. I'll take extra precautions on these channels. But... uh oh. I have a Snak Shak. I've never used them as their only way to get hay, so at least there is that. They hardly ate it, so that's good. I've removed it. What's wrong with it, though? Thank you so much!

Snack shacks and similar items contain a lot of sugar and wierd ingredients as far as I'm aware it's basically sawdust held together with a honey like substance. I've never used one but I got gifted a treat ball that was a similar thing I took one look at the ingredients list and it went straight in the bin.

Ah yes. I got it when I was a noob at pet parenting and I didn't check the ingredients. And the labels been thrown. I found it online though... Pine wood shavings, cassava starch, alfalfa, sodium alginate, potassium sorbate, propionic acid, honey, glycerin, propylene glycol. Yep. It's been thrown. Hope I didn't hurt my pigs with their time with it. It's there anything I should look for in pigs health wise? thank you so so so much!

If they didn't eat that much of it I don't think it could've done that much harm
