Guinea pigs for sale - ON EBAY?!

Hello, just been trawling through ebay to find some new things for my guinea pigs and to my horror came across an auction for 2 Boars, I have reported to ebay and if anyone else wishes to do so the item number is Item number: 150695864242

how awful those poor piggies!
 
Dont think they are allowed to sell animals on ebay, can you report it? i would but i dont have a personal account only my OH
 
i have reported it, hopefully it will be picked up and removed soon, i know some things on some sites have to be reported a few times before looked at by admin
 
for anyone who is interested in how easy it is to report. I went to contact us> report item
It asked me to select which one from recently viewed listings so I selected and then its a matter of drop down boxes - prohibited item - animals, plants and wildlife - live animals
Copy and paste the item number into the box and then click report
 
i have reported too, disgraceful. I am sure i have seen these two beautiful piggies on here recently ?/
 
I have sent the seller a message offering to help find a new home for their pigs through a rescue. It is always worth doing this before reporting and ad as some people just don't realise that they are putting their animals at risk advertising in this way (they may not even know that there are guinea pig rescues). I hate to think they might end up as snake food. The cage looks very small too, so even if they go to a genuine home, their living conditions may not change.

:( They are gorgeous! I would take them myself actualy...but don't know how far away I am from london :(
 
i have just reported it as as well and it took me back to the page where they are on and it looks like they have taken them off now thankgod
 
Just for future reference - all that happens when you report someone like this is that the advert gets removed. It's probably better to contact the seller directly, perhaps direct them towards this site, to find new homes for their animals.
 
The seller took the ad down herself after she received the messages suggesting rescue help. I have spoken to her and hopefully these piggies will be coming to Crawley GPR later in the week. :)
 
Thats brilliant - just shows what can be achieved when people care - oh god no! - my boar has just let off the most disgusting stink - its so bad you can almost taste the lumps in it:)>>>

lovely to see someone has been helped and 2 piggies wont end up with someone who bidded for a laugh.
