Guinea Poo - Lots of it!

Recently my two have been pooing - A LOT! I was cleaning the cage and I let them run in a room with a tiled floor. Anyway, I went out for about 5 mins, came back and there was a pile of poo by Crumpet in a puddle of wee, and when I counted there was 14 poos! :o Plus all the other ones that were all over the place. When I finished the cage I put Muffin back and went back to get Crumpet and when I got back to the nice clean cage, there was 8 poos! In the space of about a minute! I'm sure they dont usually do this many, is it something I'm giving them? I havnt changed anything, is this normal? Its not dihorrea (sp?!) just normal.

Are the poos soft or are they nicely formed like a little pellet? It's normal for them to poo like this. It means they are digesting the food they are eating. One of my guinea pigs Shura does the same thing... I can always look at the playpens and be able to idenfiy which pen Shura was in. If the poos are soft and a weird color then that's not good.. however if they are nicely formed pellets that are brown then that means they are just healthy.

Yeah they are just normal nicely formed hard poos, thats good to know they have good digestion! ;D
