New Born Pup
One of my guineas hasn’t seemed herself for a few days in that whilst she was eating, drinking, pooing normally, to me she didn’t seem her normal bubbly self.
I noticed couple days ago she felt cold, especially her ears. Holding her she warmed up slowly, but her ears still remained very cold. I checked all my other guineas’ ears and they were all warm. She isn’t making any odd sounds, she has no nose or eye discharge, she is breathing normally.
She isn’t being picked on by her housemate, but she is hiding more. She seems to me like she is feeling run down, feeling yuk, but the vet checked her today and found nothing physically wrong. She said it might be stress is causing her to feel cold, but absolutely nothing has happened or changed to account for stress. None of the other guineas are showing any symptoms or signs of being unwell.
I put a blanket in for her but she hasn’t gone near it. I am unsure what to do. Any ideas and advice would be greatly appreciated please.
P.S I meant to get the vet to do a urine check and a temperature check but ran out of time. Is this something worth doing? I have the urine check strips myself, but not if vets would accept me giving them a reading or not. I don’t want to stress her out any more than she may already be. Thanks.
