Both guineas are 11 week old now. I am trying to introduce them to different veg slowly at a time. I firstly introduced them to carrot which they loved, then i introduced brocoli which they loved so then they stopped eating carrot. Then cucumber so they went off carrot and brocolli, and since iv introduced Parsley all david will eat out of veg is parsley he loves it and craig eating cucumber haha.

Iv just put some carrot and brocolli in their cage again to try then. Has anyone got any tips?

How long do you give them to eat it?

Are you leaving it in overnight if you feed at night or all day in the daytime?

Funny little things!

Serve all veg together and leave it in for a day. Eventually, they will get used to it.

It can be quite difficult intoducing veg to piggies who have no concept of eating it (as I know well myself!); patience and persistence will see you through, though!

One of my girls, Martha, is quite the gourmand... They always get cabbage or broccoli in the morning and while Bo and Mette-Marit dive into it, Martha walks around sniffing each piece and looking up at me expectantly as if to say "*this* is all we get?"

She starts eating after a little sulk, though :)

aah thats really useful. I am expecting them to eat it all straightaway and they arent haha they are eating the parsley and cucumber then leaving the rest. Iv left the veg in for a full day today and they have ate a few carrots but still left the brocolli. I think i need more patience. ill keep trying xx

Treat like trying to get a bunch of fast food kids to eat healthy green stuff - repaet repeat repeat...

At least, the success rate is a lot higher with piggies! :))
