Had to seperate the boys :(

Today Wilson and the baby went outside in the hutch :)
I got the baby out to show my dad and I have noticed he looks really tired... his eyes look like theyre really trying to stay open... so I took them both inside and got some food to feed just to the baby, I was thinking maybe Wison is nicking his food!
The baby was chomping away ;D Enjoyig the parsle and carrot... but he ate too much at once and had to spit some out...

So I have seperated the boys... theyre right next to eachother... just the cage is split down the middle... So the bub can actually eat somthing! ;D
 
That's a shame, can't you just keep them in the same cage and put two bowls in the cage? :)
 
I would add another bowl or two so there is plenty of choice and throw lots of veggie in as well and of course plenty of hay but do keep an eye on him he might be being bullied, its not ideal seperating them if you can solve the problem becasue you will end up with 2 lonely boys , fingers crossed you can solve the problem could the little one be ill
 
I forgot to add the point that Michellemuffin was pointing out. If you seperate them you may have problems bonding them again. O0
 
yeah i would put 2 diffrent bowls in and put exta food as if willson eats lots and gets full there will be some left for the baby one

this is what i do with lilly and her 3 girls amber poppy and ruby to make sure there set moe i put extra in as lilly not liking sharing food so when she is full there is still a bit of everything left for amber poppy and ruby
 
The baby? Still no name for the little fella?

I agree, two of everything make things easier :)
 
Maggs is only in with pretzel at the moment and maggs used to eat 90% of the food, she always was a fatty but now shes eating for a few more its even worse! ;D

i just added another bowl, although maggs shoved her head in that too and pick out the good stuff before pretty had a chance! ;D Now pretzel knows the cage and knows maggs and has more confidence i guess, so she legs it to the food bowl, sits in it and munches away without giving maggs the oppertunity to eat all the food! ;D
 
;D ok... Ill go add some more food bowls :) I dont think he would be sick... hi eye have been doing that like yesterday and the day before... But I think he is fine :)

If you're worried about him being actually sick, he won't be because guineas can't vomit. Was he closing his eyes because it was much brighter outside maybe - especially in the sun? or he could have an infection so keep an eye on it, 'scuse the pun.
 
;D I think it might have been because it was bright outside... he is doing alot better and has eaten all his food... :)

Angus it is ;) lol

Angus is popcorning all over the place... I dont think Wilson is stealing his food... I just saw them both happily munching away :smitten:
