Went shopping tonight and had to get a few more things for the piggies whilst I was in there. I always check out the reduced part in the veg section first to see if there's any herbs market down I can get them and was rather chuffed with what we managed to get. We got 4 parsley plants for 10p each ( absolutely nothing wrong with them! ), 2 packs of dill for 20p each and another pack of herbs for 10p. Also bought rocket, pak choi, round lettuce, carrotts, cabbage, watercress and cucumber for them whilst we were in there and I realised when we got home that there food now takes up 2 shelves and both drawers in the fridge! There's more in there for them then there is for us rolleyes
 
We go to our new asda every thursday, the veg is perfectly fine a few bits here and their but i'd still eat it and i dont like eating anything gross! we get bags of stuff for 1p or 5p an item, which is ideal as my OHs a student and i work part time :) and thats about the same here but our foods more expensive if that helps you justify it
 
I love food bargains! Good food for little money :))

Right now I feed the piggies a lot of dandelions, grass and weeds. It feels good to get really fresh stuff for free!
 
Well done on your bargains!

At the moment I am letting my pigs mow the lawn for me during the day and at night they get a few fresh veg. The ones that are not out that day get two loads a day and we always try to pick their bits up in the reduced section of the supermarket. Over the summer too we grow herbs in pots for them which saves us a small fortune too.
 
We do exactly the same (as first post) in Tesco and we always come back with loads for the piggies and the think its xmas with the variety :))
 
I love bargains too and always check out the reduced section even if i dont need any veg. rolleyes
