just about t wash lil bens bum as he gets in a right mess, so i just clean that area off with wet cotton wool as he is such a mucky so n so lol, n i noticed some of his fur had gone up his man parts, i wiped it over n the fur came out after i wiped a few times, he didnt seem bothred by it, is this a normal thing, or will it cause infections and things, do i need to trim his fur round this area, he just gets so mucky his fur is all yellow round his bum.

hi, i would trim round this area tbh, it can become infected so easily and also it will be easier to keep him clean as well.:)

(we are talking about a GP?) LOL

lol. I'm scared to trim him just incase i miss n trim other parts, il have to find somwhere who trims piggies, as i *** want him gettin an infection... damn that crazy haired piggy lol

I find it easier to have them on my lap and relaxed, i do my piggies nails this way. It makes it a lot easier. Or maybe you could get someone to cuddle him while you trim? :) Another way is to distract him with atreat, a tomato works wonders with my boy!:)

It is normal for hair/bedding/hay to invade a boars delicate parts, you can't totally eliminate this, but as angel has said, giving him a trim will help. Infections are more likely in those boars who aren't checked regularly, you are doing all you can to prevent it so try not to worry yourself too much. :)
