anybody know any treatments, shampoos or anythink that can aid hair growth, jerry is looking like a right scruffy thing, hes bald in patches, the rest is thin, n some is about a mm short, looks like iv shaved bits ofhim, just wondered if anyone new of any ways to help him get his hair back.

mmmmmmmm sounds like he could have a problem if hes losing his fur........ he could have mites/lice. He could even lose his fur if hes stressed. I suggest you take a good look through his fur to see if you can see anything. Could be crawling or static or sosmething that looks like dandruff. Look on www.gorgeousguineas.com they do all sorts of shampoos n stuff. Good luck

he has mites, he was badly infected with them when i had him 3 weeks ago, hes due his last treatment for them next week and fingers crossed no more signs of them, its just obviously he was quiet patchy when i had him, n some areas have slightly worsened with hair loss, but vet said after next week it should start to grow back, but could be quiet slow, so i just wondered if there was anythink i could use to improve his fur after he has had all his mite treatment, just to help his skin as its quiet scabby in places and his fur repair themselfs a lil quicker maybe

The hair can take a few weeks to grow in, there's nothing I know of that can really help increase the rate of regrowth - other than a good diet. :)

Hi

You might like to ensure the scabs as you describe them is not actualy a fungal infection, which would also lead to hair loss.
