Hi everyone
I have 5 female piggies in a large c&c cage them have been together since birth. My smallest piggy rouge is unfortunately the bottom of the pecking order. I have noticed she has fur loss on her bottom and tummy and legs. It's almost like she has had a short hair cut. I don't think it is mange or mites as her fur and skin are in good health. I'm thinking this is to do with stress. She is fed a well balanced diet also so I am not concerned about nutrition. I am thinking of seperating her to her own part of the cage so she is still near her sisters but not getting pushed about? Can anyone give me any ideas how to help her thrive? Will she be ok alone in her own area? What would everyone do in this situation? I'm sure its self barbering.

Thank you for any help or advise

First and foremost I would get her to a vet for health checks. I wouldn’t assume it is stress (self-barbering) until all health issues have been ruled out, including mites as well as hormonal issues.

I think that once any and all health problems are ruled out, if it is confirmed to be stress related then separating her on her own wouldn’t be in her best interests - I would separate her out with another pig (most likely the next piggy up from her in the pecking order)

Thankyou for your response I have booked her in tomorrow for a health check.
