Hi everyone,

Today I have noticed Hazelnut chasing Coconut around the cage. Hazelnut was pulling out chunks (well, bits, maybe 3-4 hairs) of Coconut's hair. I'm not sure if this is normal for the dominance. I haven't seen it happen before...I was wondering if I have to separate them? Thanks!

Hi! How long have you had Hazelnot and Coconut and how old are they? Is it just a one-off or has this been ongoing for any length of time?

You can see this behaviour during the dominance phase at the beginning, but it can also happen with a very strong season that triggers a new hierarchy dispute or if an adult sow has hormonal/aggression issues from a small but growing ovarian cyst.

I've had Hazelnut and Coconut for about 6 months now. They are 8 months old and I just noticed it.
