Hamster trapped inside a guinea pig's body..

My New little man archie, is being very hamster like!

Its weird him not feeling happy with me walking around yet either, it didnt take duke long to think she is my mum, she feeds me, she cleans us out etc..but i suppose i had him from birth.

archie is scared really easily, he keeps climbing to the top of the nero cage, as a hamster would he climbs right up! he scared me earlier i looked in and there was only duke in the cage, then 'thud' he fell off the bars from the top..I'm worried he's gunna hurt himself, ive not seen that in a guinea pig before..duke used to throw himself at the wall during floortime but he grew out of that when he realised it hurt! ;D

anyone else experienced this?
 
Never experienced ths i am afraid, does sound rather hamster like :-\

Hope somebody can give you some advice soon.

i've just spotted earlier today a couple of my guineas in the garden scrabbling up the sides of their runs
could it be a hamster attempt to take over all rodents? :P :D :D :D
 
Wallace 0:) could climb up & out of his run (approx 16"), i never found out just how he did it :smitten: :smitten:
 
Nibbles climbs the bars of the cage, he is so nervous and timid, and tries everything to avoid being picked up.
 
mines called archie and hes a nutter maybe its the name ;D they ve all got diff personalities and i always go for the nutty pets!
 
Is Archie your coronet? Interesting because Timmy is loop the loop as well ;D
 
Maybe they are related? ;D Timmy is not keen on us humans and hates other piggies too, a very anti social guinea >:D
 
i had a hamster called archie and he was crazy as climbing round the cage and falling off.... there might well be something in the name, lol
 
maybe ;D he's a horrible little thing under that cute innocent looking front cover! lol he bit my boyfriend really hard last night that he drew blood! he doesnt just nip a little bit he proper bites right through your finger! lol hopefully he will grow out of it..still trying to get him used to being brsuhed as he is a long haired and he doesnt wanna let me do that either he's a rebel! ;D
 
Oh my Bruce Wayne is a climber when I open the cage from the top he is always stretched up there trying to climb out. He is so nosy and determined to get over there with the girls.
 
i think it may be the name , maybe i should change it ;D

mines never bitten me , only rumbled and grabbed my finger with his mouth once , but that was as i had another boar in the house i think ::)
 
bless, i think he starting to realise that I'm not going to go away lol he has a little nosey at me then runs off because if i move i scare him!

still not into having his brush in his fur, i had to cut it shorter around his bum because he was really smally and his fur had gone horrible, my mum said it looks like i put a bowl over him and cut around it! ;D he looks fine though and he's completely dry and unsmelly down below now!

he's a littlepopcorner, he goes mental!

having a few prob with duke beating him up atm though because archie keeps rumbling at him, and duke does not take rumbles from another man! lol he isnt hurting him just chases him, and archie sounds like he's being aggressively attacked which he isnt :-\
