Handheld Vacuum

I used to use one but found it quite heavy for continued use, now I find it easier using a dust pan and brush. The one I used was a black and decker one, very good hoover too!

I was given a vax one which I tried. I found the container is so small I had to empty it twice for each cage (2) it took me longer messing around with it than poop picking by hand!

I use one sometimes but find it sooo noisy. I mainly use a dustpan and brush!

I use it for the poops but it doesn't get up all the hay. I also have to empty it a couple of times per cage but I find it quicker and easier than picking by hand. I got mine from Lidl for £13

I bought a dust buster here in the US for 20 dollars not sure what that converts to but it works very well for poop and lite cleaning

Does anyone use a handheld vacuum for cleaning the pigs ? I've got a budget for £25 x
I'm assuming you mean cleaning the cages out, not cleaning the piggies themselves? :lol!:

I have some weird visions going through my head at the moment.... :))

I've got one from Aldi, I'm sure it didn't cost more than £25. It works ok on poop patrol but easily blocks up when a strand of hay finds its way in.
To be honest, I find it easier using a dustpan and brush and fingers

I actually have guinea pigs that have decided they want to poop in one spot on a piece of fleece so all I have to do is pickup the fleece and dump so haven't had to use,my vaccum at all

Jecf I wish my herd did that...

I use an old hand held Dyson that must be 9 years old, just for poo cleaning. It makes the job of poo picking so much easier, even if I have to empty it twice and it sometimes gets clogged from stray bits of hay.

Lol my cat used to love being vaccumed with the hand held vaccum and would even lie down in front of it while i was vaccuming up crumbs for her "special massage", admittedly it had rubbish suction so it was just like having a pat down but she didn't even mind the noise. I'm pretty sure the piggies would not appreciate though lol.

It works during the day but at night they decide to run around in the cage and scatter their pooh everywhere and I got to the point I can't leave any tunnels in the cage as the pee and crap all in them...

Sorry guys I've broken my phone :'( so won't be on her as much! Definitely going to get a handheld vacuum cleaning the pigs is like a 10 hour work out atm lol! I'll need all the help I can get soon as we are finally extending their cage next weekend woooo x
