Handling my guinea pigs makes me nervous. I can get them out of the cage with a snuggle sack but when it comes to handling them I'm just so nervous and I don't know where to place my hands!

Stripe stays pretty still on my lap but Chesney is a wiggler.

Any tips? Like I said I can get them out of the cage.

Try to sit on the floor so that there isn't a big a drop as when you are sitting on a chair, try to have a small area around you so that they have to stay close by and you can pat them. C and C grids or a long bit of cardboard that you can fold away when your not using it would be ideal. You can spend time getting to know them even though you aren't holding them, have some veggies or grass so that they know your the nice person. When you are holding them have them close to your body and support them under their front legs and bottom so that they feel safe and won't riggle to much. Take your time to get to know them and don't worry too much about holding them they will get to know you as you get to know them. Good luck 👍
