Adult Guinea Pig
One of my original boys is 1! Technically yesterday.
I have been a bit unengaged with the forum recently but the forum has been very important for Cheeky's first year so I should remember that. Here is Cheeky as a very scared little 7 week old with his then hutchmate Sudoku
They were not brothers but had been born on the same day. It became clear very early on that they were not bonded, in fact loathed each other and they had 2 major fights at 10 weeks old, leading to them being separated on vet advice (Sudoku was injured). i joined the forum and got loads of advice
and Cheeky lived on his own for a while - and grew lots.
Then, went boar dating and with the help of Joanne from Milhaven, Cheeky bonded with the lovely little Thorn before Christmas 2011
Now he is a big grown-up alpha male (1,062g) and a very special member of our family. He is an unusual character - he is more part rat, part human than a typical guinea pig. This is slightly odd photo but it shows his two tone chin and sticky up ears
And here he is thinking about doing the crossword with his friend Thorn
Happy Birthday Cheeky! An eventful first year but hope you have many more happy ones with our family. xx
