It is already a week since I had my big baby surprise! I must admit that the household has come a poor second to baby watching lately... :))

Syndod (spoken sun-dod, Welsh for "surprise") is an active toddler now and busy piling on weight. (On the right, pictures from the day the baby was born was born)

Even my hub has forgiven me for leaving him to deal with his cantankerous mum all on his own and has fallen big time for Syndod. He still has a very bemused expression on his face whenever he cuddles such a tiny, but perfect bundle of fur in his hands and enjoys watching the baby antics, too!
 
Oh my gosh that is soooo cute how syndod follows mummy everywhere how lovely, he's really grown this week x

Awwww, x) x) x) So adorable, just showed all the girls in the office. Lovely video, love the way she is in a piggie train and following her mom around. So fast.

Awwww! Unutterably scrumptious! I love how s/he follows mum! I can't believe how big Syndod has got = not a baby anymore!
On another note, Misty is very jealous of the huuge space they have! I think she is packing her bags as we speak!

Baby Syndod is so cute! I loved the video! The picture's worry me, Sweet's was the size of him/her when I first bought him, my hand is maybe 6" long he could fit perfectly in my hand like a hampster..... I sure hope that he wasn't like a week -3 weeks old when I got him. :(


I love how Momma piggy tries and run ahead of Syndod but she can't seem to lose him. lol
 
Ooooh we have been spoilt! Such beautiful pigtures and what a fab video too, so lovely to see Syndod moving about! She/he has certainly grown and is a confident little minipig! x)x)drooldrool

Syndod was 100g when born - that is at the top of the ideal birth weigh, the little one also is an only baby and getting the full benefit of the milk bar; many babies are born smaller, especially if they have been part of a big litter from an overbred sow. Rodent farm breeders dont feed veg either! There is usually a noticeable difference between rescue/home born well looked after babies and shop piggies due to the quality and availablity of food and care. And yes, you sometimes have to seriously doubt the age given for shop piggies - some look like 2-3 weeks old rather than older!

I was so worried how David would take it. Half an hours notice on the big day. I'm glad that he's fallen for Syndod, how can he not? You've got a good man there Wiebke.

It's been a week already? Time flies! So gorgeous! I get told off for watching my pigs and not doing housework and they can just be eating hay :))
 
What a cutie! Totally spellbound by that video....s/he is so beautiful!

Adored the white pig with the spot sprawled out in the next cage - amused me greatly :D
