It's 2 years since we got Minky & Mousey from the Maize Maze at Easingwold near York. An unusual place to get piggies but they have a petting centre which I now don't really agree with. They get young 6 week old bunnies & piggies at the beginning of the summer school holidays & then sell them at the end of the holidays. As I was working away in Scotland on the last weekend of the school holidays we had to collect them on the Monday afternoon. So this is the only celebration we can do for them as we can only guess their birthdays to be about end of May beginning of June 2011.
They are now an integral part of our family & couldn't imagine life without them. They both had ups & downs health-wise. Mousey having a sebaceous cyst removed last year & Minky have an abscess in the neck removed 3 times this year, though touch wood the last op seems to have completely removed it. She also went blind in one eye but sight has returned after the abscess was successfully removed. They'll get some extra treats today & grass time later as the forecast doesn't look good for Friday & Saturday.
