If is this is in the wrong place please feel free to move it!

Well after Harleys trip to the vets yesterday she has me worried that he is over weight! **** worrying for nothing.

As someone suggested, I took some photos of him tonight and hope to get your opinions. I am thinking he is just a chunky boy.

I weigh him every week and he has always been between 1.4kg and 1.440kg. He is currently 1.440kg.

well...to me he looks fabulous, but I'm not an expert with weight, i am just biased about big boys :))

(The **** was ment to say Proberbly)

Thanks everyone. It's not nice to be told you have a fat piggie!

His weight seems pretty stable, and as long as he's staying around that I wouldn't be worried, don't think you would want him much fatter than that! :))

I love him just theway he is! All the more piggy to cuddle xoxo

He looks the right shape, it's not like he's bulging out at the sides or anything. If he's always been big then that's just his build, surely? He looks lovely btw. :)

I was told I had a fat piggy, she weighed in at about 1400g but her cage mate was seen by another vet -she weighs in at just over 1500g and nothing was said about her weight. I think it depends on the vets own perception of what a pig should weigh. As you say there's more of him to cuddle, he's very handsome. x)

Awwww- he looks just like my Linney but with shorter fur! I love brindles and never seem to see many!
Honestly, I'm the wrong one to ask because my vet has said that my girls are 'a little chubby.' However I don't think he looks obese- if he's eating healthy and not have health issues about it I wouldn't worry. I think some pigs, like some people, are just bigger built- right now I have two big girls but it's not flab, they also have broad heads, big paws, etc. They are just built that way. One of my other pigs ate the same diet as Linney and was tiny- never topped a kilogram. She was just built like that. HTH a bit!

As others have said, his weight is stable and he looks good. He's **** just a bit butch :) he looks like he's got a bit of fat storage under his chin, but as you say, he's at the highest if his weight range.

He's a stunner!

Think I just worry too much! Think they are just like us and come in all shapes and sizes.

Nothing wrong with a bit of meat on a piggie! For a moment though I thought you were posting photos of my Maisie, the back of them looks so alike (read chunky) x

Looks good to me! My Fuzzy is nearly 1.7kg and he's not overweight, just really big, he doesn't have a bulgy belly or multiple chins or anything! :))

I think my boys are chunkier esp Artie he has two chins :red lol he looks fine too me and beautiful too x)

Aww he's a lovely size and his weight seems grand to me :)

Lovely piggy lips and chunky bum in those piccies too drool drool x) x)

x

take no notice of that vet. The vet is not used to piggies. Your baby looks healthy and handsome. I was told my Amelia Jane was 'robust' which I ignored. She is my avatar.

Harley wouldn't be my Little Chunk if he was any smaller/bigger. I think i will stop worring about him so much.
How can you not give them an extra green bean, bit of parsley etc when you go to the fridge and they give you that wheek that says " I'm hungry, you never feed me" and those eyes.

I will just have to hold a littleof their breakfast and supper back to use as as treats and try not to give into them evertime i go to the fridge.

Healthy pig!

He looks really healthy to me just look at that shiny coat! My Poppy is 1.3kg and we were concerned about her being over weight but the vet said she was fine and healthy as long as she didn't keep putting on anymore so i'd say he's fine :-
