My piggies have had Harringtons nuggets most of their lives and the bowl is almost always empty but the past couple of weeks they are hardly touching them. I noticed the packaging has changed but I don't know if the recipe has too - anyone else noticed this or know anything about it?
Its really annoying as Dotty is losing weight too (not because of this) but I really could do with them NOT going off their nuggets right now! and its not just her not eating them - even Alan aka "King of the Pellos" isn't bothered about them, hence my thinking if the recipe has changed.
I'm looking to try a different brand but not sure which to go for? I took a quick look at the wonderful comparison chart Flutterby created in the sticky but to be honest thats opened a can of worms!
I don't know most of those brands, was just going to get either Tesco own or splash out on Burgess Excel. whats your thoughts?

Not sure about the recipe but I can recommend Burgess Excel Blackcurrant and Oregano - my two are fussy with pellets but this is one brand they both enjoy :)
It also smells nice! :)

My Granville and Marlow were eating Harringtons and Science Selective when I adopted them September 2016. I noticed the packaging has changed but G and M are still tucking into the new branded pellets. I haven't been able to check if the recipe has changed. They eat mostly Harringtons with a few Selective thrown in daily for variety. Everything disappears from their bowls.

I hope Harringtons haven't changed the recipe! My lot love them! I changed them from the P@H muck as soon as I could. I buy it in bulk 10 kg at a time as I have 5 piggies and they get through quite a bit of food. 2 kg would only last about 5 mins! I need to stock up again soon. Maybe I'll get the usual 10 kg sooner than normal to mix it in gradually and hope they don't notice!

My lot used to love Harringtons and had them for a year or so but then went off them.. so they might just get boring after a while? I do remember when I used to get them, the size of the nuggets were never consistent bag to bag. Some were really small and sometimes they were pretty big which put our lot off too.

bit off topic - but mine have Harringtons and i was wondering do they have for ever ? or should you stop them at a certain age?

Best way to find out would be to email Harringtons or parent company Wagg and directly ask :) And post their reply on here!

ive got both the old and new packaging of 10kg harrington pellets ,the pellets seem to have the same ingredience in both packages.Tesco or asda pellets are very similar and mine have eaten these all up.Burgess blackcurrant and oregano pellets are also a very similar size,i mix these with the harringtons.
