I spend a lot of time with Jimmy. His pen is beside my desk while I work from home and we spend a few hours every evening on the floor together while he munches hay and I stroke his little head.
I have never seen him blink.
Am I just missing it? Do you see yours blink?
I'm not worried ( well, I actually worry about everything with Jimmy-n
ew mom) but I've read that they do actually blink, but I've never seen it.

Hi! :)
To my knowledge, guinea pigs blink occasionally to keep their eyes moist, but not as we do. I believe that they use their eyelids as a mechanism of protection from dust and dirt. :)
I hope that this helps!

Mine rarely blink in my presence.
Phoebe almost never sleeps with eyes closed.
Micah’s eyes are closed or half closed a lot of the time
Priscilla - I have no idea as she has black eyes in black fur

Piggies do blink but not very often. The rare occasions when I see one of my boys sleeping with their eyes closed is always special :luv:

I have only seen my pigs sleep with their eyes closed a couple of times but it is very sweet when they do 🥰🥰🥰

What amazing, quirky, beautiful creatures they are. I still can't get over that he eats CONSTANTLY. Only stops to nap. I keep topping up hay and picking it back up when it comes out the other end:D
