Hay box new soft cut

Hiya everyone. Just about to order more hay and I noticed haybox are doing a new soft cut Timothy. Anyone’s piggies tried this yet? Mine do waste a lot of the stems even when I buy the blend which is supposed to be less stalky. Is it ok not to have stems? Will it still help with keeping their teeth worn down? Thanks.
 
Is it the same as third-cut Timothy, do you think? I've ordered third-cut Timothy from KMS Hayloft before and the piggies loved it. It was similar in texture to orchard grass hay.
 
I've been ordering this for a couple of months now due to Wilf having dental problems and couldn't chew the tougher stems. It does still have some stalks but it is definitely softer and nice and green and my piggies do like it. I give them both so they have a choice (yes, spoilt piggies both they are worth it )

Yes I have been using it for months for my five animals (my elderly fussy rabbit cannot get enough of it!). It is the most amazing soft Timothy hay and they absolutely adore it. They dont like the hard stems of first cut so this soft hay is perfect for them. and yes it does still wear teeth just the same

My 7 pigs love it too! Recently changed from the normal Timothy to the soft cut for about 2 months now! Really impressed very green,soft and thick! :)
 
I agree with the above. It’s much loved by my herd since I’ve bought it a few months ago!
 
My last order of meadow hay is wonderfully soft.
Micah loves hay diving and this is great for him.

Thank you. Yes I’ve ordered meadow hay too. Because they are spoilt pigs and can’t just have one type. 🤦🏻‍♀️
 
Hmm, I was so cross when they landed that delivery charge on me without telling me, just taking the money, that I cancelled my sub. Might reconsider trying this soft one come next winter.
 
Because of this thread (thanks, enablers), I ordered some yesterday and it was here this morning. My two adore it, really love it, and I suspect they'll not accept stalky hay anymore, the spoiled wee monkeys. 😄
