Hi all
Just a quick post...I recently read a few posts on people asking if farm hay is ok to use
I have a horse so I can get hay when it's nice from the yard or buy it from a shop.
I warned people to be careful if buying hay from farms as we have found glass, metal, allsorts in the bales,I understand that can't be helped as these things happen.
But.....I recently bought a bag of hay from home bargains, I never check the hay for anything foreign as maybe I thought it's in a bag it's in a shop it's ok right?
Wrong....now I will have to check my bags of store bought hay as well because I found THIS in the hay my piggies left on the floor.....

Please check your hay.

Good advice.
I do tend to check the hay as I have occasionally found some bramble or sharp chunks of wood in a bag - never anything like that though

I check mine for sharp bits as Peanut's diving into piles of hay method makes him an expert at hay pokes. The worst thing I've found is loops of string!
