I normally buy hay from a pet shop near me, but it's really expensive and it's in really small bags, I've worked out that it costs about £8 a week because I have to buy a few bags. I was thinking of buying hay from Hay for Pets, has anyone bought anything from them before?
I was going to get the biggest box of hay I can get because I have 2 rabbits and 3 guinea-pigs, and I was going to get 9.5 kilos of Timothy & Rye Hay. How long do you think this will last my animals? I can't work it out because I don't know how big the bags of hay I normally get are.

i get this and it is big! you will need somewhere to store it as its at least about 2ft high and same wide approx. I have two gps and it lasts me months. It is very good quality and the boys love it. I have ordered it several times and would recommend it.It is good value i think.

It depends if you use it just for feeding or bedding aswell.
Just feeding (in a hay rack etc), 9.5 kilo will last you a good few months.

I have 14 hutches, which I use hay as bedding for.. 9.5 kilos does 2-3 cleanouts.

I used it and i contacted them and they phoned me said to order the 4.5kg bag and he sent me 2.2 kg of each of the hay for me to try, i havent ordered again as i have no where to store it but i would go for the meadow hay only my piggies didnt really like the others

i use this firm and think they are very good, the hay is good quality, and delivered quickly, i also got a phone cal from them after i sent a query via email, and they were very helpful, highly recommended !

Thank you for the replies, sorry I've only just checked this thread again. I ordered the meadow hay instead because I found out a few weeks ago that one of my rabbits has teeth problems, and I've been told that meadow hay will help her teeth more. I think I'm going to use tesco's hay for bedding because I think it will be cheaper, also they kick it out of the hutch when I open the door anyway so I don't want them to waste the good hay :)) I got an email to say it was dispatched on Thursday :)

They're really good :) I had a problem with the courier and Graham offered to ring me to sort it out - but I'd kicked off at Yodel so much one of the couiers dropped it off on his way home (I'd waited in all day for a redelivery and they didn't turn up, it was a Friday and I was running out of hay so I told them I was going to invoice them for any hay I had to buy and petrol used going to buy the hay lol).
One bag only lasts me about 3 weeks but the bunnies eat loads of it :))
