Hey i have a Hayrack (folded grid) on my c&c and the moment but finding that so much of the hay ends up on the floor rather than eaten, they dont even pee and poop in it as they do that to the corners..I'm just wondering if a fabric haybag with holes may make it less wasteful?

I have hay in racks on the doors of my hutch and I also line my hutch with puppy pads and hay. The hay in the hay racks gets mostly ignored as they prefer to eat the stuff they have wee'd and pooped on. They also love burrowing underneath it and generally playing in it. They also love hiding and making hay tunnels.

I tried a rack, buy my two preffered hiding in it than eating out of it! :D

I've now resorted to a large pile in a litter tray!

We have 2 corner trays plus a hay room, no point stressing about keeping hay tidy, messy hay is every pig's favourite thing! They wouldn't be guinea pigs if they didn't want their whole house and yours 6 inches deep in hay all the time :)

What are the trays that the piggies are in?
Do you mean in my picture? They’re cat litter trays I got in a pet shop a few years ago. The sides are shallow so it’s easy for them to jump in and out. I think they’re called kitten litter trays now.

Do your piggy’s have their own widescreen TVs? :))
Yes they’re spoilt. Lol.
:nod:XD

No it’s plastic grids as I wasn’t sure if Mario was a climber as I had a box there in my previous set up. Lol.
