Hay info' please!

Unlike usual i'm running low on hay(i usualy buy in bulk so rarely refill), i wondered where the cheapest and most quality provided hay on the market that can be posted to me(lazy 'ay! rolleyes)i would like to buy in bulk because it lowers the bill for postage and all that rubish!

Well personally, I think the best quality hay is from www.dustfreehay.co.uk - but it's NOT cheap. It's where I get all my 'eating' hay from. I just buy cheap Jollye's stuff for litter trays.

I buy 2 bales at a time for £4 each, it is very good quality but I go and fetch them from a local farm.

As Lisa said, it all depends on what you can afford. I buy 22kg boxes of Oxbow hay, but is comes in at £70 including postage, so probably not an option for you.

Are there any local farms nearby? Where do you normally buy your hay from?

We used to get it from pet shops, but the've put the price up now,
we then tried ebay, and i'll probably have a look there again later.
I mean whats the averge a farm'll charge?

You really need to find a farm/s near you and ask, it all depends on the quality they are selling, size of bale, wheter you need it delivered, how many bales you want etc.

Yes, there is a farm at Chignal Smealy (I think it's called Grays) that usually does good quality hay.
