my guinea pigs wont eat hay even if they do its like 1cm of it not joking . i tried lots of hay types and they seem to enjoy normal grass more

If you are providing plenty of hay (hay makes up 80% of their diet) then you might not know exactly how much they are eating. I give them two big areas full and this gets topped up everyday. They burrow in it, sleep in it, wee and poop in it and of course eat it

is there any tips on knowing if my guinea pig is eating hay so i know he is eating?

Please do not start multiple threads about the same query as this is confusing to those giving advice and goes against the forum rules

How long have you had the piggies? Hay makes up 80-90% of their diet. They need it for their digestion and also for their teeth. Pellets and veg are only a small percentage of their diet. Regular weekly weighing will show if they are gaining weight.
