I have my piggy for 2 months now, so far they only hay i can find in all my local petshops is bunny freshgrass hay which as i understand is not a real hay, its more of a dried grass variety, luckily i found some good online stores and I'm about to buy some real stuff, according to the guides orchard hay have the most pros and seems the best option but I'm not sure if its ok as their main hay, i was thinking of making a mix of like 80% orchard and 20% of freshgrass, does it sounds ok? The other option is timothy which as i know is the most mainstream hay and totally ok to be their main hay!

Any grass bases hay is fine - orchard, Timothy are fine as their main hay. They can also have grass picked fresh from your garden if you have access to it.
I use a mix of timothy hay and meadow hay (meadow hay is a mix of different types of grasses)

A dried grass (what we have is called Readigrass) which may be the same as the bunny freshgrass you mention, is best kept as an treat as it can be too rich for piggies to have oFrench

Actually ive just looked online and provided ive found the right thing, it doesn’t look like it is like readigrass and is instead more of a normal hay so it should be ok to be fed more frequently

if the fresh grass is what I think it is, then I’d only give a small amount of it perhaps once or twice a week
Its probably what you think it is so ill stop giving it to them daily as soon as i receive my orchard! Thanks again
