Hay racks

Hi I was wondering if anyone had any tips for getting guinea pigs to eat out of a hay rack?

It’s one of those things which they will need to learn for themselves really. Perhaps put a little hay on the floor underneath it and see if that interests them to look to the rack. Some just don’t like them though and prefer to go headfirst into a hay pile!

Thank you! My guinea pigs love a big pile but I need to save a little money during this time.

I pull bits out to get them started, we must have been lucky as we popped it in their cage and they just ate from it!

I put some veg in the bottom to really encourage them to try it out
