Is it OK to store hay on the attic?

I get haybox and doubt the boxes will fit through the attic door anyway. So was looking at hay bags like what ppl store bales if hay in and stuffing that through the attic door.

I'm just worried about bugs and the hay going mouldy.

Do we think this set up would be OK? Thanks.

A lot will depend on your attic.
Is it cool and dry up there?
Is there any chance of fibreglass insulation particles being in the air?
Do you store anything else up there?

It could work if it is a boarded loft that is basically dry and dark - it's no different to keeping things in a barn really.

It's boarded and dark. There's not much there. Boxes from expensive electronics in case we had to return them, empty plastic storage boxes that kind of thing. I can't imagine it's wet up there. I've never noticed any water.

It won't be any worse than a barn or shed.
