I currently use fleece liners but I'm finding that they are clogging up with hay despite all hair removal tools! And my machine drum isnt able to handle the size of the liners! I know these washable pee pads get alot of hate as they need changing regularly but would they work with fleece pee pads on top? I'm aware I would have to change them daily but this would be alot easier for me and saves me the repair costs of a machine! If so can people suggest where the best traffick areas are for pee pads

I use these under pee pads and bath mats, which does work. I also tend to do a patchwork of smaller ones so I can change just a couple. I find the bath mats don't seem to hold the hay at all. A silicone bristle handbrush works wonders on everything when used before washing. I still find myself going through a pile of clean fleece with the tweezers now and then.

I had the same problem with the fleece liners and stopped using them .
I use the washable incontinence liners with pee pads/ fleece pads / vet bed etc on top
I clean 1 half of my 5x2 one day and the other half the next day.
Piggies are kept nice and dry, no smells and easy washing so washing machine is happy 😂

I could try the tweezers but I will end up getting fed up quick 😅 because in the end it just happens again. So can't really win! I dont mind fleece pee pads honestly I just dont want the main liner being fleece 😫

This is what I needed to know if they would be staying dry and warm on these pads which is a relief 🤣 I can gurantee the repairs for a washing machine would be more than a liner being I live in a rented accomodation! I dont mind changing them out regularly and spot cleaning more often.

My piggies don’t mind the cleaning out …I’ve been using this way for a few years now
I’ve had these liners for several years too and no wear and tear !
I think it’ll be much easier for you
I don’t always spot clean every day …..just as ness

I pop my pee pads and other fleece bedding into a horse bag and then in the washing machine. It catches all the hay and hair and stops it from clogging up your machine. This is the one I got and it works really well: Amazon.co.uk

I wrote a post about it here, with pictures to show the process step by step How to Wash Guinea Pig Bedding | Furry and Frightful
