I bought the below hay while waiting for my delivery. Would you believe the piggies turned their noses up at it! The girls blatantly refused to eat it but the boys had polished it off by the time I went to give them breakfast. I think it was the flowers that put them off.

If anyone wants it, let me know. It seems a waste to throw it away so I figure maybe another piggy may want it. Hope it’s ok to put this here. If not, please can an admin move it for me.

I don’t think so, they appreciate all the help they can get. You could contact them? There is a separate thread all about TEAS on the main forum page which will explain, I’m sorry I’ve forgotten how to tag

Haha I tried as well! I’ll contact them.

My piggies rejected the last bag of Burgess we got too, wonder if its a dodgy batch or they changed the source? It was £6 from PAH too as a stop gap for 3 days until my usual hay delivery but they really werent keen!

I was brought up in Sevenoaks and am visiting my mum next weekend ie coming down on the 10th. Great to come across another piggy Sennockian!

But the car journey from Manchester is now ridiculous (it should be 4 hrs but has often been 8hrs) so I'll becoming by train with a big, fairly empty case. My mum is selling her house after 50 plus years, so it could actually do two jobs...feed the piggies and act as padding in my suitcase around the family treasures I want to bring back North.

Obviously a rescue would be a more deserving case, but if you can't arrange that, and are around next weekend, I and my piggies would be very grateful. I usually get b&m Timothy hay and herbage, which is generally very good ...green and fairly long stemmed , but the quality has nosedived ,probably due to the weather last summer. Even readigrass is short stemmed.

I don’t normally buy burgess for them. Last time was a long while ago, and they ate it. But it was a different one.

😱 8 hours?! I don’t blame you taking the train! Hopefully the ticket isn’t too extortionate, I assume you booked early?

Nice to meet a fellow (former) Sennockian. I sent Teas a message earlier but no response as yet. I’ll let you know which way it goes.

I used to get the boys b&m in the beginning. But the quality seemed to have dwindled on the 3rd or 4th bag, so I switched to another.

Definitely try local rescues. After Donald having a stone removed I have switched to grain free pellets leaving me with over half a 10kg bag of science selective pellets opened. I have offered to take it to Neville's Nest, at the end of the day the piggies don't know the difference between what has already been opened or not

I dropped a bag of Oxbow pellets on the wood floor in my living room while cleaning their cages but picked them up within seconds. I did throw away some but saved most of the Oxbow pellets. I am hoping my Finn and Lara don't notice. I didn't want to throw away an entire bag of Oxbow pellets especially when I picked them up within in seconds.
I have seen kids picking up food from the floor and eating before so I figured my Finn and Lara would be ok. :xd:
