Haybox

I’ve literally just had my first proper order delivered from HayBox, I’m very impressed and so are the boys. I tried them last month with the sample pack which lasted seconds! :)) HayBox has recently had a few issues with delivery, but I stuck by with the order and I’m very happy I’ve done so. The boys are now snoozing in it after devouring half of the hay tray:zzz:

had to pause my subscription because of the late deliveries, paid for two weeks with nothing arriving and we’ve got both today. Very happy we stuck by as well as it’s absolutely gorgeous and they’re straight in it x

It’s very green isn’t it?! It’s brilliant! My problem now is to find somewhere to store it :hmm: I could throw a sheet over the box and have a coffee table :))

that’s my problem as well! I have a box in their (my...) bedroom and one in the wardrobe at the moment :))

I paused my subscription as the backlog had meant I had to buy extra hay due to my order being late. The haybox order then arrived only a short time before my next subscription order was due to process So I would have ended up with far too much hay! Ive resumed my order now to take account of their backlog and hope the next one (which went through on Sunday) arrives before I run out again!

think I’ll have to unpause in about a week, if I let it carry on coming we’d have an actual barn! So glad we got both boxes at once. We now have two large bags of hay and two boxes :) x

Seems the whole country has gone mad buying pets of all sorts ( very sad as if they really wanted them and were going to give them a good home for life, they would not have only bought them during the pandemic!) as I'm now having problems getting small rodent food! Luckily they are easier to feed than the guineas so I am currently making diy rodent food. I was given some fancy biscuits over Christmas, and I'm not sure that the giver was impressed by being told how much the mice liked them!

I'm too worried over food shortages, the risk of being ill and having no help with the animals etc to even consider any extra mouths, but apparently I'm the only one!

We get 20kg Haybox every 3 weeks, 10kg meadow and 10kg timothy... the piggies really wont eat any other brand at all!
It took a while for them to adjust to the stalky green timothy but now they clear up the lot, nom nom nom I can chuck in a kilo and 12 hours later no sign of any hay, wheek wheek wheek where is our hay mummy?

Just had my first meadow box and pellets delivered. And I am disappointed how short the meadow hay is. It smells amazing, but not a bedding material at all. I'll stick to the country store bought meadow hay for the litter boxes.
However, I bought it for one of my boys who's no longer keen on the Timothy hay from Haybox and he loves this new hay! Think it reminds him of the nature's own 5a day I had them on before switching to haybox? So all in all, I am glad he likes it!

Haven't tried the pellets yet.

It’s not always a short as it has been lately. Ive been using haybox for well over a year and my piggies are fully bedded on hay in their hutch. It doesn’t make the best bedding at present but as I say it’s normally longer stemmed then currently is

That's good. I am just glad my boy likes it. I gave him the pellet to try as well and he was looking for more, so guessing they'll like those as well.
