I've noticed recently that my two boars shake their heads, it looks as if they are trying to shake something off. They don't do it a great deal, but enough to be noticeable. Could this be ear mites or something similar?

I've never noticed past piggies doing this so am unsure. They have only had packaged hay since I got them (about a month ago) but could be mites from there. They don't have any hair loss and don't seem to be itching.

I've got some spot on which I'm going to use tomorrow just in case, as I've not done it in the short time I've had them and don't know if it was done in the past. Do I need to worry about them grooming it off each other? Although to be fair I've never seen them groom each other anyway!

I would recommend to have them checked for ear mites at your vets, which is most likely with both boys doing it. He'll mostly likely give you some ear drops for it.

You should take them to your vet, they may be ear mites, but it could be something else. I hope they get better soon! :)
