Hi, I know that this is different for all piggies but my boys are 702g and 610g at three months of age. Are these healthy weights. I just want to check that they are neither very over or under weight. I do know that it depends on the pig though.
Thanks! x

Hi! Your boys are a good weight for their age. At this age, as long as they don't lose any weight, they are perfectly fine. As long as they are active and well in themselves, they are fine, whatever the weight or size. They still have got another 12 months to go until they reach adulthood. ;)

Thank you very much, their weight keeps rising, they are now 629 and 747 grams. They eat to many veggies to be unhealthy!

My two 9 month old boys are quite large, and they weigh 980g and 1020g. I am aware this is big, but is it unhealthy?

My two 9 month old boars are around 1kg and 1.3kg, so no. Neither of them are overweight, it's just their size.

There isn't a healthy "max" weight for guinea pigs either, a lot of it comes down to build, and no two guineas are the same.

Thank you. That's a relief, they are getting bigger all the time, so I was quite worried!

I heard you should just be able to feel their ribs. At 9 months, they're probably still growing x
