I have a thermometer and humidity monitor in the piggy room, and I'm always really torn on how best to keep the piggies cool.

If I use a fan going through a wet towel, the temperature comes down, but the humidity goes right up. So, I'm never sure which is best, hot and not too humid, or cool but very humid! :{

I think I might stick to the ice pods, which don't affect the humidity level too much (obviously goes up a bit).

Yeah i know what you mean, i have friends in Northern Australia and they have the same problem :{
They do use the ice blocks (aka coke bottles frozen or fruit bottles frozen) but many use the fan but they turn the fan away from the piggies area so that it cools the room down but not directly.....maybe with the damp towel in front it will still do the same job but not put the humidity directly on the little ones?
I'm sure you'll get some more fab ideas what to do........
Best of luck love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

meant to say.....to me i'd say the heat would be worse, after surviving our past summer with horrific temperatures, i would be super careful of over heating the little ones, just my observation.
