Heidi not eating after accident

A fractured jaw has not been mentioned, I think he thought she had just stopped eating with shock. She does tend to follow her mate around so hope that will help. They didn't want to have her mate staying as wouldn't be able to tell who was eating and pooing when I asked, will see what they say tomorrow as mark was off today(her vet) thanks everybody once again for your support :)

Another Heidi update, just rang the vets and Heidi is eating a tiny amount of dry food and the flesh of a tomato, they feel she maybe able to come home in a couple of days as being back with her guinea friend may encourage her. She is still being syringe fed and on pain killers. She is a timid pig so I'm hoping they are right. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? I'm really scared she will not improve. Is she likely to start to eat again ? She has maintained her weight which is good. Such a worried Mum!:orolleyes@)

It's good that she is showing an interest in food at least. Is she drinking from a bottle or being syringed water do you know? One of ours was being syringe fed and watered for 10 days and then I offered him the water bottle on my lap, he drank from it and then turned and ate from his food bowl. I was so happy I actually cried.

I really hope Heidi picks up - it sounds like her insides are working as they should, so as MerryPip says it could be worth investigating her mouth to see if she is having problems there.

Sending you good vibes.

Heidi update, she is home, came home last night and after much wheeking with Olga and waffling round the room she started to tentatively start to eat! This gathered momentum and she grazed for quite a while. This morning she has had her medication and eaten breakfast! Rounding that off with hay! I am SO HAPPY! A big thank you to Mark Rowlands at Trinity Vets and all the good support from you guys! :))
