Well, I haven't been in here for a while, but I'm glad to tell you Peluda and Greñuda are y OK.
I clean their cage everyday, I feed them hay, vegetables, hay, and pellets everyday, if I do it too late they start whining and complaining like crazy.
Only problem I have is that they still pee too white. I give them purified water without minerals, and all. I've changed their diet and did everything I could think of, but haven't been able to fix that.
Everything else is good, and I really hope their happy.
Anyway, that all right now, hopefully I'll be able to visit the site more often. See you.

.... can I reassure you that white pee is not abnormal. We have a lot of discussion on this forum about calcium and rightly so . However, we need to get this into perspective. True - white pee is the way guinea pigs excrete excess calcium and it is prudent to endeavour to feed low calcium veggies . But I would only get concerned if calcium deposits look gritty .

Some good advice from PiggyOwner.
I know it sounds awful, but if you touch the white urine spots do they feel 'sandy'.
If not then this is probably just your piggies getting rid of excess calcium.

You piggies are beautiful by the way, and their cage looks wonderful.

Thank you for bringing this up @Antonio R. This has reassured me as well. Every time I give mine ANY kale or spinach at all they pee white, so I'm reluctant to give it, and they do so love it. I can maybe give them a little again and stop worrying about the white wees.

... a little of what you fancy does you good :)

we also need to bear in mind that brassicas contain good nutrients - even though they may be high calcium .

I follow a diet researched on another forum which includes a 1" strip of spring green per pig - as spring green contains magnesium .

I think the important thing is to be careful with portion sizes .
