Help advice please

One of my guinea pigs was off his nuggets this morning but was still nibbling bits of lettuce so I just thought maybe he was going off his nuggets he has plenty of hay and dried grass, I’ve been checking on him throughout the day monitor him I’ve just gone to check and cover his hutch and have noticed his tummy is what I can describe as bloated and he just doesn’t seem himself he’s moving around like usual and peeing and pooping like normal I can’t get him to the vets till tomorrow what can I do till then ? If you suspect bloat, then it is an emergency as it is life threatening. You piggy cannot wait until tomorrow to see a vet.

I don’t suspect bloat as I’m unsure as I’ve never had health issues with him before but that’s the best way to describe his stomach

The link explains the symptoms of bloat. Does his tummy look enlarged, does it sound hollow if you very gently tap? If so, then that may well be bloat which requires urgent veterinary attention. Too much lettuce can cause bloating as well as feeding brassicas (cabbage, broccoli).
Is he still eating? Piggies need to eat hay constantly, so a piggy who isn’t eating enough, still requires urgent veterinary attention.

Hi, as @Piggies&buns says, bloat can be a medical emergency. It can in some cases escalate very fast from a mildly painful tummy and being a bit out of sorts to where the piggy is in agony and their life is in danger without emergency medication from the vet (usually ranitidine and emeprid). Hopefully this isnt the case here, but as we ourselves almost lost a piggy to acute bloat last year, personally I would be looking for an emergency vet right now... possibly he will be ok until tomorrow, but possibly sadly he might not... we have no way of knowing if it will pass or become very serious! Healing wheeks for your boy, please get him seen by a vet as soon as you possibly can, remove any veg and encourage lots of hay eating x
