MrsM
Senior Guinea Pig
this is a bit complex...
We've had some ants in our kitchen for a few days. I haven't been able to identify the point of entry so I have placed a bait under the cupboard where they seem to like going. Nothing untoward until now.
This morning, we placed Frank and Finlay on the run in the hall. After a while I heard some nibbling, so I had a look at who was eating what and couldn't see the pigs. They don't usually leave the run as they find the parquet/laminate floors too slippery but the doors were open so I investigated. I found Frank in one of the tubes on the run but Finlay was in the kitchen, under the afore-mentioned cupboard. He looked terribly smug when I caught him but I'm concerned he may have nibbled the ant bait.
I've checked, there are no teeth marks on it and the nibbling sounds could well have been the pitter-patter of nails on the wooden floor... Anyway, if by some unfortunate turn of fate Finlay has tasted the bait, what can I expect? I'm sick with worry...
