Hello everyone. May I thank you all for your help and advice with Echo. I tried to set off to emergency vets but unfortunately she took a turn for the worse, having a massive contortion and twisting herself right over her back and biting hold of her own back leg, which was very distressing to see. It took me a good half minute to get her to let go and when she did she was writhing around so much that I just held her till she went. I had read to massage on a link somewhere, wish now I had got to you lot first but even then I know she needed professional help more than anything and I wasn't given the time to get her there. Rest in peace, my little Echo. You now graze freely with my other little poppets. Jasmine, Erin, Kara, Martha the matriarch, Rose, Orla and lastly Ewan, only two weeks ago. Not having a good month. Five out of ten of my cavy family ill, two lost. Please hope my bad luck has ended now and the others stabilise and prosper for a long time. Thank you again everyone, a lesson learned the hardest way how to deal with bloat, the biggest factor needed is time. Signing off now, rather depleted, tissue box empty.
