Hi,
I'm just wondering about my piggy. He has been kinda lounging around his cage and he seems to be breathing fast, should i be concerned or is this a normal thing? I haven't really noticed the breathing heavy part before so I'm not sure if it is normal or not, he is still eating and drinking. we just recently moved to a new place so i don't know if he got sick or if it a normal part of being a relaxed happy piggy

If it's a new behavior, I would be concerned. Is his fur puffed up? Runny or crusty nose/eyes? Can you hear him breathing, and is it raspy? If you are really worried consider consulting an emergency vet. Pigs hide illness well, and can go down hill quickly. Good luck.

I would get him to a vet as it could be numerous things. Good luck and hope he gets better soon x

If it is something different it is worth a check up at the vets. Rapid/heavy breathing may be signs of a respiratory tract infection, it can also be a sign of pain.
Best to get him checked up to be on the safe side.

Please get him checked; heavy breathing can have different reasons - heart, pain, respiratory problems. I hope that you can find out what it is quickly!
We have got a UK piggy savvy vets locator on the top bar.

Could it be stress where we have moved? If it is stress is there a way to help relieve the stress

Could it be stress from the move? He is also becoming very aggressive to the point that he is biting hard enough to draw blood. If it is stress is there a way to relieve it
