This is horrible, as i feel like I can't help. Being a young guinea pig she is still anxious.

She has been limping today, horrible and sad to watch. The base of one of her nails is quite red, almost like a burst blood vessel.

I feel awful- i just want to say i'm trying to help!

Please get back to me just for the support as very concerned.

She is eating normally, however can struggle to grip some foods as she is not using the affected leg.

Thank you so much

I suggest you get her to a vet as soon as possible.
Only a vet can diagnose and deal with the problem.
It’s hard when one of our piggies is ill and we feel helpless but hopefully the vet can ease your worry too.
Let us know how you get on

My rabbit has just been to the vet with similar. Always worth going as they can give pain meds and make your piggy more comfortable. Let us know how you get on at the vets :)

It's not unusual for young piggies to accidentally sprain a leg when being over zealous in running and popcorning etc so hopefully it's something that will heal fairly quickly. Glad to see that you are going to the vets tomorrow as they will be able to diagnose the problem, at the very least she's going to need some pain relief for a while. Best of luck at the vets and let us know how you get on.

One of my boys hurt himself when I first got him. I made a vet appointment and the next day he was fine at the appointment. Lol. Hoping it is minor like mine was.

If their foot is hurting then pigs are like children, and won't use the foot. Not like us humans who try to walk anyway. Hopefully you've found out what has happened and now have some pain relief at the very least.
