Help identifying piggy forage 🙂

Have you seen this sticky thread? It has very good pics of the edible plants
Safe wild weeds/plants you can feed your piggies
I had this on my phone while I was looking yesterday! Very handy! But it was that pic of the broad leaf plantain that obviously got dozy me confused!

Will stay away from that one out there now!

Everyone’s ok this morning after their dock experience thankfully but not on the menu again!

The last one isn’t buttercup - it looks to be geum urbanum aka wood avens or herb Bennett
Thank you. Do you know if piggles can eat that one? It says they can eat avens on the guide, why I chopped some down to ask then realised the leaves were slightly different.

The vetch is correct for sure it's my favourite flower. Not sure if pigs can eat it though

The last one could be buttercup
vetch is fine for them to eat, my lot have eating it for years (Bill and Ted) The other isn’t buttercup but does look similar it’s Avens, Piggies&Buns is correct it’s part of the Geum family. I actually have Geums in the garden that have bright red flowers in summer, obviously that’s the cultivated variety

The second pictures in both your posts are definitely dock, which is safe to feed when plants are young but not once they have produced seeds.

The purple flowers are periwinkle and should not be fed

The last two photos in your first post are avens (also called herb bennet) and are good to eat

The third photo in your second post has some plantain in the top left corner but the plant in the middle is ragwort, which is toxic. I would dig it up and ware gloves when handling it.

Thanks so much, so helpful! :)
May avoid the dock as there’s so much other tasty stuff out there but will most definitely get rid of that ragwort, so glad I didn’t chop any of those leaves yesterday as they looked a bit old and grotty! And I’ll leave the periwinkle where it is!

Will give the avens a go very soon though and see what they think :) Thanks again.
