help me identify this TV prog

I was about 5 -6 so it must have been early 80s, on during the morning. IT was a kids' prog but there was this little animation character in it who was like a black and white rubick cube on legs with eyes. I think it was vaguely spacey/ sci fi.

I have tried to remember what it was for years. Can anyone help?

And, no I haven't been sniffing the anaes gases - it did exist!

Well i've racked first my brain then Google's and i'm still puzzled, can you give us another clue Lucinda? can you remember if there was a swan like enemy called Zwa's?

it really is! I know there were kids in it and I can remember them being out of doors. This black and white thing was always trundling along too. This has been on my mind for years - sad git that I am!

real kids - it was all real except this thing
