Hi!
So, today I was sitting on my bed eating my breakfast of toast with my guinea pig Miika, who was crawling around on the bed and on my lap.
Anyway, what happened is I dropped a crust without realizing, and she grabbed it and started chewing away until it was half gone before I reached her!
Just wondering, is toast all right? She only got a small part of the crust...?

There's a woman in Kings Langley who runs a 'sanctuary' called Fairydell Farm in Herts and she always has piles of dried crusts of bread which she gives the guineas.

I've heard this too, it must be days old & nice & crusty by then; you can feed horses dried bread too, never fresh. I guess toast would be same as dried so piggy shouldn't come to any harm! Leave the marmalade off though lol rolleyes

Don' worry; she wont' get sick over it - it's not food she should have (wheat like all grains is too high in protein and fat to be fed on a regualr basis), but it is not poisonous either!
